Stress Analysis
Computes mechanical stress, strain and deformation; loads can be given directly, or imported as electromagnetic forces or thermal loads from another problem.
About This Module
The Stress Analysis module computes mechanical stress, strain and deformation. Mechanical loads in the Stress Analysis module can either be given directly, or imported as electromagnetic forces or thermal loads from another QuickField problem. In QuickField, this kind of analysis is often the final step in a complex multiphysics analysis of an electromechanical device.
Stress Analysis Features
Plane stress, plane strain and axisymmetric stress problems
Anisotropic elastic properties
Distributed and lumped loads
Thermal stress, electromagnetic force and electric force
Multiple constraint (support) conditions
Results: displacement, stress components, principal stresses, and the Von Mises, Tresca, Mohr-Coulomb and Drucker-Prager strength criteria
