Model Editor
Build the geometric model, generate the mesh automatically, and import model fragments from CAD systems such as AutoCAD.
QuickField's model editor enables you to define your models quickly, easily and completely. You can also import model fragments from AutoCAD or other CAD systems. Once the geometry of your model is built, generating the mesh takes almost no effort.
You don't even need to choose a mesh size — the model editor's built-in algorithm automatically generates a smooth mesh that fits the model geometry. Loads and boundary conditions are applied based on geometry, completely independent of the mesh, and can be changed at any time.
Starting from version 6.0, QuickField's model editor can build not only 2D models but also 3D extrusion models. It provides a dedicated 3D view mode and ways to present and manipulate 3D structures, including rotating, zooming and toggling the visibility of model parts so you can see objects that would otherwise be hidden.
