Parametric Modeling with LabelMover
Change model parameters, solve automatically, compare results — with Serial Analysis, Tolerance Analysis and Optimization modes.
Change model parameters, solve automatically, compare results.
LabelMover is QuickField's tool for parametric studies of an existing model. Built on ActiveField, it can modify geometry or physical properties, run the computation and present the results.
Workflow: change parameters → solve automatically → compare results
Three Analysis Modes
Serial Analysis
Generates a series of QuickField problems with the specified variations in geometry or physical properties, solves them one by one, and presents the results as a table or graph.
In the official solenoid actuator example, the armature position is varied automatically to obtain a complete force–travel curve.
Tolerance Analysis
Studies how deviations in geometry and material properties affect the computed results.
LabelMover generates and solves models with the required deviations, then computes the distribution and statistics of the output results.
Optimization
Adjusts multiple model parameters to meet a specified engineering goal. Any value produced by the postprocessor can be used as a maximum, minimum or target value.
In the official actuator example, the core window height is found to maximize the mechanical force. External optimization programs are also supported.
LabelMover can be applied to any QuickField problem that has already been defined.
